In early November, more than 180 delegates gathered in Sydney, Australia for the Annual Conference of MSW.
Breaking with previous schemes, this year's conference was chaired by the Board of RSM Germany. Thanks to them the program was developed very smoothly and in turn, each had the opportunity to print their own personalities in all activities undertaken. The plenary sessions included an update from Brian Eaton, President of the International Board of Directors.
For his part, Jean Stephens, along with other speakers such as Chris Cleaver and Rob Fawcett, gave a talk about the work that was done during the year in terms of branding for our brand as well as RSM plans for future.
The plenary session also gave time to a presentation by the directors of RSM in the countries belonging to the group of BRICS and USA, giving delegates valuable information on these emerging opportunities.
The technical sessions were devoted to IFRS, international tax, risk management, clean technologies and renewable energy.
By the close of the Conference was convened no more and no less than former Prime Minister of Australia Paul Keating, who shared some thoughts on today's global economy.
It was not all business. There was also time to learn about local culture and visit the beautiful city that is Sydney. In fact, he organized a race yacht to tour the famous harbor that surrounds the city. The winning team was Brian Eaton, and which came last, Jean Stephens.
